Breakfast at Bethel
October 20, 2023

In October, the Bethel Education Foundation held its annual Breakfast at Bethel fundraiser and it was a huge success! More than 120 people gathered early in the morning (including Cascade Band Members on a no-school day!) in support of students and staff and raised more than $30,000 to be used for Educational Teacher Grants!

Longtime Bethel School Board member, Paul Jorgensen, and his wife, Karen Jorgensen, were this year’s Community Spirit Honorees, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room after their presentation.

A heartfelt thank you to special guests, Sen. James Manning, Eugene City Mayor Lucy Vinis, Lane County Commissioner Pat Farr, and countless other longstanding Bethel supporters and community members who showed up in support of our schools. Your commitment to education and community is part of what makes Bethel so great.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to all of the Bethel students who gave their time to make this event possible- The Willamette Leadership and NHS volunteers, Cascade Band, Oregon Summer Tour Students who presented, 2nd and 3rd graders for our adorable placemats and thank you cards, and Willamette Culinary students who prepared delicious muffins for our breakfast.

What an incredible morning! We love our District 🍏
