Graduation Rates at an all time high! Bethel has reason to celebrate!
January 31, 2024

The Bethel School District in 2023 saw its highest ever rate of 4-year graduations, topping all Eugene and Springfield-area high schools and the state average!

Graduation rate data released Thursday by the Oregon Department of Education showed that the Bethel School District saw its highest ever rates of on-time graduation last school year (22-23), with 84.3 percent of high school seniors graduating district-wide.

The rate topped districtwide graduation rates of all neighboring Eugene and Springfield area districts, as well as statewide graduation rates by 10 percentage points. In addition, Willamette High School saw 91.5 percent of its high school seniors graduate on time, topping all other Eugene and Springfield high schools and breaking a school record.

Kalapuya High School also has the highest graduation rate among alternative high schools of the three major metro-area districts with 46.7 percent of students graduating on time and 55.2 percent of students graduating in 5 years in the 2022-2023 school year.

These numbers reflect the dedication, intentional connection, and consistent hard work of educators across our district. They also reflect a culture where students believe in their potential and engage in the hard work required to achieve their goals. While the numbers are worthy of celebration, it’s the people behind the numbers who are making the magic happen here in Bethel.
